Medical Examination for Visa Application

As part of processing your visa application, a medical examination is one of the most important documents that you must submit. Some countries do require foreign visitors to undergo medical examinations as well as vaccinations upon arrival in their country. There are some exempt citizens who come from their neighboring and other allied countries. Lucky for you if that will be the case as to protect their countries interest, there are also other destinations that have strict guidelines that even ask for some documentation before you get approved.

Most of the countries would even require you to submit your medical records to check any health issues from past and current. Some of the tests that are commonly asked before you are granted your visa application are as follows:

  • Chest X-ray – this is a common test asked for those who are seeking a work Although this test doesn’t require any special preparation, it helps a lot in monitoring and diagnosing someone who has various lung conditions and even injury.
  • Urine Test – the analysis of urine will help tell whether a person has metabolic conditions, kidney or liver problems, diabetes, and urinary tract infection. It is important to note that medications can affect this kind of test. That is why it is crucial that you have provided information to your doctor about any medications that you are taking.
  • Blood Test – aside from this test will help diagnose kidney and liver function. This is also done to check for other diseases like HIV, HPV and even Hepatitis. Just like the chest x-ray, it also doesn’t have any special preparation that you must do before the test. However, you must have collected all your courage before this test if you are afraid of needles. If you do not have that kind of fear, then there is no problem at all.
