Pre-employment medical assessments, also called pre-placement health tests, assess potential employees screen their health for risk factors that they might be exposed to during the course of their employment.
The benefit of pre-employment medical testing is that it allows employers to engage staff on a basis which prevents foreseeable injuries at the workplace.
At Walk in Clinic, our private GPs offer four levels of pre-employment health screening as standard. If further tests or scans are indicated, we will create customised packages based on your requirements.
We can offer last minute and same day appointment with the turnaround of medicals typically available within 4 working days.
If you’re pre-employment requirements don’t fit into one of the packages, then you should give us a call at 02070968853. Alternatively, you can send your pre-employment medical form to [email protected]. Our staff will get back to you with an itemised quote and availability.

We offer comprehensive, accurate pre-employment medical screening to identify the health condition of employees and improve their productivity.
Our doctor will evaluate the injury and determine if there are ongoing risks to manage at the work place.
Make sure you answer all questions to the practitioner about your past medical record accurately and honestly. This ensures you are not in a position that causes injury to yourself or your colleagues of which your practitioner might not know.
Yes, you will have to bring a photo ID like your driving license at the appointment. Otherwise, you won’t be able to conduct medical check-up. In case you wear prescription glasses, lenses or hearing aids, you should bring them with you.
There is isn’t any dress code for the examination but you will probably need to remove clothing at certain stages as part of your medical check-up. It is advised you wear comfortable and loosely fitted clothes.
The medical assessment is based on several requirements related to the position you take up post-employment. Usually, our doctors will be assessing your abdomen, chest, spine, neck and all the joints carefully, but if you will be working in specific sectors - such as cruise ships, you will require further screening.
You might be asked to undergo urine drug screening for drugs or alcohol. This includes – amphetamines, cannabinoids, opiates, methamphetamines, benzodiazepines, and sleeping tablets.
It is advised that you drink 2 to 3 cups of water before having the urine test. In case you over dilute urine, this will be shown by determining the creatinine level in your urine. If the creatinine level is extremely low, the sample should be recollected for accuracy.
