Yes, you will have to bring a photo ID like your driving license at the appointment. Otherwise, you won’t be able to conduct medical check-up. In case you wear prescription glasses, lenses or hearing aids, you should bring them with you.
There is isn’t any dress code for the examination but you will probably need to remove clothing at certain stages as part of your medical check-up. It is advised you wear comfortable and loosely fitted clothes.
The medical assessment is based on several requirements related to the position you take up post-employment. Usually, our doctors will be assessing your abdomen, chest, spine, neck and all the joints carefully, but if you will be working in specific sectors - such as cruise ships, you will require further screening.
You might be asked to undergo urine drug screening for drugs or alcohol. This includes – amphetamines, cannabinoids, opiates, methamphetamines, benzodiazepines, and sleeping tablets.
It is advised that you drink 2 to 3 cups of water before having the urine test. In case you over dilute urine, this will be shown by determining the creatinine level in your urine. If the creatinine level is extremely low, the sample should be recollected for accuracy.
