At Walk in Clinic, we strive to make the blood test process as easy and hassle-free as possible for you. Here’s what you can expect when you visit us for a blood test:
To start, just book an appointment online at your convenient time. We are flexible, with appointments available on the weekdays to accommodate your schedule.
When you arrive at our clinic, our friendly team will welcome you. We will help you complete any paperwork you need to do and make sure you feel comfortable and relaxed before the test.
In order to get the most precise and accurate results, consider having a light dinner the previous night and skipping the breakfast on the morning of your test. In case your test is scheduled in the afternoon, refrain from eating at least 6 hours before your appointment. But make sure to stay adequately hydrated with water as this facilitates the blood draw, ensuring accurate test results. Consumption of black coffee or tea without sugar or milk may be allowed, consult your healthcare provider or clinician regarding this.
You will meet a skilled phlebotomist at our clinic. The procedure is rapid and easy, usually involving a small needle to draw a small quantity of blood from a vein in your arm, close to the elbow. The blood sample will be analysed and forwarded to our laboratory for testing. If you have a fear of needles, please do let us know ahead of time and we will ensure arrangements in your support.
Depending on which test you have, your results will be ready by the same day if you came in the morning, or overnight if you came after lunch. You can also have your results sent to you via phone call, email or come in person – whichever you prefer. If you are already seeing one of our physicians, they will call you directly with the results for discussion.
Please be aware that this test is non-consulting and if you would prefer one of our doctors to discuss the results with you, this will need to be booked separately. They will discuss your results, provide guidance regarding further treatment if required, and assist you in making informed choices regarding your health.
Our experts provide professional and personalised care tailoring to your unique health needs.
In contrast to the NHS, where you may need to wait days or even weeks for a blood test, our Walk in Clinic always provide same-day or next-day appointments. We deliver results within 24 to 48 hours, in contrast to NHS results that take longer, depending on urgency and demand.
Walk in Clinic provides a broader panel of tests, such as specialist screens (for example, hormone levels, vitamin tests, cancer markers) that might not be included under the NHS. You can have precisely what you wish to get tested without a referral from your GP.
You don’t need to wait for a referral from your GP – you can take charge of your own health and get tested as and when required. Our clinic provides in-depth reports with expert interpretations, so you can make your own decisions about your health without delay.
When you want to get in control of your health with ease and convenience, visit Walk in Clinic for a same day blood test. Whether you have particular health issues or need a general check-up for blood tests, our clinic is here to address your needs at your convenient time.
For instructions on our extensive range of tests or any individual questions, simply contact us on 020 71833649 or mail us at [email protected] for immediate guidance.
Avoid waiting for appointments or referrals. Take the first step of your health journey with the convenience of walk-in tests at our clinic. With Walk in Clinic, dealing with your health has never been more simple or convenient.
Our FBC (full blood count) test (also referred to as a complete blood count or CBC) indicates checking for abnormalities in your blood such as abnormally high or low levels of blood cells. It provides you with a general idea of your overall health and hints at some health issues.
Conditions that may result in abnormal FBC results include anaemia, deficiency conditions (such as lack of iron, vitamin B12 or folate), genetic blood disorders, autoimmune diseases, infection, and bleeding and clotting disorders.
We provide a comprehensive range of blood tests. We can cater for the majority of routine tests and for more specialised tests as well. All you need to do is make an appointment, have a test and we will return a full report to you within 48 hours. And if you ever have any uncertainty or require routine testing, we can carry out numerous tests with rapid turnaround of results for your reassurance.
We provide an extensive range of various tests, from travel screening profiles to sexual health screenings. You can see an A to Z of all our various tests here.
Excluding our in-home blood tests, all of our tests involve a GP consultation, including our in-clinic private blood tests. This is to make sure you know what your results mean and so they can assist you in choosing what you should do next. If you prefer not to have a consultation in-person at our clinic, we also have an online appointment option.
We make every effort to have a speedy turnaround time for all our tests so you do not have to worry. Simply book an appointment, come and get tested and we will send you a full report back within 48 hours. And if you ever have any uncertainty, we provide lots of blood tests with rapid results turnaround for your reassurance.
Results turnaround is dependent on your own appointment time and will be explained by your doctor at the time of the appointment. If you are looking for a private blood test near you, in or around London or across the country, book us now.
Most blood tests are done within a few minutes and do not require any preparation. In some cases, you might need to fast or avoid medication prior to a blood test but our healthcare professional will let you know beforehand if you need to do so.
