Whether you are visiting Cayman Island for work or residency, you need to secure and undergo medical examination a by certified doctor followed by a series of lab tests. These medical examinations and lab tests are an essential part of successfully obtaining a Cayman Island visa. The following are included in the medical examinations necessary for your visa application:

  • Physical exam

If applying for work in the Cayman Islands, you need to remember submitting yourself for medical examinations if you wish to work for more than three months. Here are some essential pointers to guide you on your way:

  • Medical examinations are required with the initial work permit application. Medical examinations are valid for three (3) years.
  • Laboratory tests have to be repeated with each medical examination. These Laboratory Reports are valid for six (6) months.
  • Chest X-rays are required with the initial work permit application and are valid for five (5) years
  • Laboratory Reports needs to be attached for HIV and VDRL tests.
  • Doctors and Medical practitioners are required to perform any tests for any disease that might be prevalence in the country requesting it.
  • All Medical Examinations Form must be signed and stamped or sealed by a certified Doctor, same as with the other lab tests performed by a Lab Technician or Physician
  • The Immigration reserves the right to require additional medical examinations at any time
