Are you traveling abroad? In going abroad, you will often face health issues that you would not experience at home ordinarily. You are more at risk when you travel to other countries and become seriously sick. You can minimize the risks by finding out in advance whether you need vaccinations for a specific disease risk in the country where you will be visiting.
At the same time, it will be an excellent time for you to review your immunization history and ensure you are protected from illnesses such as polio. If you already settled for a date for your trip, it is best that you schedule a visit to your doctor or a reputable travel medicine clinic. Head to any of the two at least a month before your travel abroad.
At least a month is necessary before your trip because your body will need the time to build up immunity after it received the vaccine. Moreover, many vaccines have to be administered in a series given over time. On that note, it will help you stay on schedule for your trip and make sure you can protect yourself the best way.
Many different vaccines are available at our clinic. We can provide them based on your medical history, a record of your previous vaccinations or the itinerary of your travels. If you are traveling abroad as per your job such as in an industry with high-risk of contracting certain diseases, we can help. Our vaccine packages are also available if your employer requested you get vaccinated.
The vaccines available in our clinic include Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, DTP (Diphtheria, Polio, and Tetanus), Yellow Fever, Cholera, Rabies, and Japanese Encephalitis. If you are unsure which of the vaccines you need, we advise that you talk with your doctor first or discuss the details of your itinerary with your nurses or pharmacists.
